Online Learning Course
This is a short course that can be completed as an online learning course. You will be provided with all of the theoretical knowledge you will need to assess students in a simulated environment or to progress onto the full assessor qualification. Either, Assessing competence in a work environment or Assessing vocationally related achievement. You will have the full support of your tutor throughout, who will be on hand to offer help and advice.
This qualification is assessed solely on assignment based work, if you have a specific learning need just let your tutor know and they will provide the necessary adaptions to the programme and assessment to assist you to achieve.

This course is designed for those needing to assess within a simulated setting. It is becoming a requirement of various awarding bodies that trainers require this qualification comply with new trainer requirements. Those who have gained the PTLLS (petals) qualification or the level 3 education and training course are being asked to complete this module. It should be noted that this is not a full assessor qualification but only the first module towards it. If you are assessing candidates in a workplace situation then you will need the full assessing competence in the workplace course.
